A Tomball man has been accused of filming his coworkers, after a cell phone was found hidden in a restroom. George Luis Apreza, 20, was charged with Improper Photography/Visual Recording, after police were called to Texas State Optical on Tomball Parkway Jan. 24.
According to court documents, Apreza placed a cell phone inside a box with a hole in it and positioned it so he could film coworkers using the restroom.
"A woman noticed a box on a shelf with a hole punched in it and that's how they found it," said Det. Jimmy Harral of the Tomball Police Department.
The recording also caught him setting up the hidden cell phone camera.
Apreza is currently out on $2,000 bond. His next court appearance is set for Feb. 20. The charge is a state jail felony.
