Resale with a Purpose recently announced that they will be relocating to a new location in Tomball's Four Corners Shopping Center in mid-December. The new facility, located at 28583 Tomball Pkwy., will span approximately 4,000 square feet, and will substantially increase the local charity's operating space.
Past beneficiaries of Resale with a Purpose include such charitable organizations as the Tomball Pregnancy Center, Operation Military Embrace and Families Feeding Families. This giving, says President and board member Brad Bartlett, is facilitated by a strong dedication to community outreach.
"We're like Goodwill, but we donate 100% of the proceeds," he said. "Our goal is to keep all the money in the community."
The new location is expected to spark significant growth in the organization's outreach. While current monthly donations to the community are at around $1500, Resale with a Purpose has set its post-relocation giving quota at $5,000 a month.
"I know we can achieve and even exceed our goal of donating $5,000 a month with the support of our Tomball family," said Holly Cook, another board member. "Once people understand the difference between this organization and others - that we give right back into their own community - they realize that Resale With A Purpose is their most effective charitable option."
The organization is now calling for volunteers to help out with the move. If interested, email an RSVP to rwap@ tomballresaleshop.com.
