A woman is now sitting in the Montgomery County Jail, after being accused of putting a gun in the backpack of her boyfriend's son to try and salvage a relationship with the boy's father. Heather Darlene Hodges, 26, of Anderson, was charged with unlawful carrying of a weapon on restricted premises and unlawful transfer of a handgun to a minor. Several business people in the community are once again banding together to put on the Families Feeding Families Thanksgiving event this year. Tomball Police catch Auto Zone robber

Tomball Police arrested a man suspected of robbing the local Auto Zone, thanks to information provided by a Tomball jail inmate. Police arrested Justin Ross Hightower, 30, of Tomball, Nov. 9, following a Nov. 8 robbery at Auto Zone, where a suspect displayed a handgun and ordered the cashier to give him money from the register. "The cashier complied and the suspect took the money and fled the location," a Tomball press release stated. "Officers, investigators and criminalists arrived at the scene and began their investigation." Police sources stated that they received a break in the case the next day.…

Tomball student joins space research team

Theodore Hale is a typical teenager, who has performed non-typical feats for those in his age group. Hale spent most of his summer participating in a fellowship program, at the Center for Space Nuclear Research. "I originally signed up to be a part of the Idaho National Laboratory internship," he said. "They called and said that they read my application and invited me to be a part of this program." Tomball council approves possible rail museum move

The Tomball City Council took a large step towards bringing a major tourist entity to the city, when it voted to approve an agreement with the Houston Railroad Museum on it's relocation to Tomball. "They are looking for a new home," said Tomball councilman Field Hudgens. "We have the space available and it makes sense for the two to merge together considering our history." Magnolia starts work on new plan

Magnolia city officials have entered the beginning stages of a new comprehensive plan, which will give the city a roadmap for planning the next 15-20 years. Residents will have a chance to hear about the new plan during the city council meeting Nov. 13. Magnolia Economic Development Coordinator Deborah Rose Miller said the plan is long overdue.
