Magnolia Stroll to host city’s first art festival

The Magnolia Stroll will host its first Art on The Stroll June 25 from 7 to 10 p.m. The evening will feature several artists displaying their art and two artists will being working on a live mural entitled, Wizard Of Oz, the Yellow Brick Road. The half-mile walkway, adjacent to Magnolia Parkway, FM 1488, and one block west of Magnolia Boulevard, FM 1774, is a user-friendly green footpath that provides access to downtown merchants and businesses.

The Magnolia Stroll may be accessed from Sullivan Park, at the corner of FM 1488 and FM 1774 or from any side street in the city along FM 1774 between Sanders Street and FM 1488. The Stroll provides walkers with a safe, lighted combination pathway/boardwalk which has benches, landscaping and art along the way.

Visitors to Art on The Stroll will be treated to art in progress, behind 306 Commerce Street. Luxury Trio will be performing jazz music and a wine tasting will be available. For more information or to be apart of Art on The Stroll, call 281-356-2266.

Like most events on The Magnolia Stroll, there is no fee for this event, sponsored by the Magnolia 4A Community Development Corp. The public is invited to come out and enjoy the evening.
