MISD Board names Stephens new superintendent

StephensThe Magnolia Independent School District School Board unanimously voted March 9 to select Dr. Todd Stephens as the district’s new Superintendent of Schools.

Stephens will begin his tenure as Superintendent in June.

 

He was hired by the district in 1999 as the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction. He previously worked as a teacher, coach, assistant principal, and principal in Temple ISD. He attended Abilene Christian University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Education in 1981.

 

Stephens continued his education while working for Temple ISD and received a Master of Education Degree in 1997 from Tarleton State University. In 2007, he completed his doctoral program and was awarded a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Prairie View A&M University.
