Jack in the Box robbery suspect still at large

Local police are still searching for a man they believed robbed a Tomball Jack in the Box restaurant on Monday morning.

According to the Tomball Police Department, the Jack in the Box located at 11214 FM 2920 was robbed at about 8:15 a.m. No injuries were reported in the incident and police are currently looking for the suspect.

Capt. Rick Grassi said police believe the suspect, identified as a Hispanic male, may have fled on foot to the north of the restaurant through a vacant field.

Capt. Ricky Doerre said the Houston Police Department dispatched a search helicopter, Montgomery County Pct. 2 Contsable’s Office brought a K-9 search team and Houston Metro and Montgomery County Pct. 5 also leant support to form a perimeter around the area.

However, the suspect has yet to be found.

Doerre said that while the suspect fled on foot, it’s possible he may have had a car waiting for him somewhere near the scene. He confirmed the suspect brandished a weapon, believed to be a semi-automatic pistol, during the robbery.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, about 5’11”, who spoke “very good” English. He was wearing a yellow shirt with a blue jacket and a blue “doo rag.” The suspect also had a small beard on his chin.

Anyone with information on the suspect or this incident is asked to call Det. Albert Chambers with the Tomball Police Department at 281-351-5451.
