| 9 suspected, 3 arrested in gunpoint home invasion |
|
Tomball Police believe at least nine people were involved in a home invasion and gun-point robbery late last month in a Tomball apartment complex. So far three Houston area men have been arrested. Christopher Fuller, Jacolby Crichlow and Jonathan Gore, all 18, have been arrested and charged with four counts of aggravated robbery after police say they “forced their way” into an apartment home at Cobble Creek apartments in the 900 block of Lawrence Street in Tomball. Capt. Rickey Doerre explained that the resident of the apartment was hosting a small gathering of friends that may have included up to six other people. At around 3 a.m., Fuller, Crichlow and Gore broke into the home, Doerre said, brandished at least two handguns and stole a large screen television, wallets and purses of those who were at the victim’s home and money. Doerre said that one of the three suspects who has been arrested also took keys from another victim inside the apartment to a white Dodge Challenger. The resident of the apartment called 911 and the suspects left the scene, attempting to flee in the Challenger. However, Sgt. Keith Bitz was on patrol just a block away and was on the scene quickly. When he arrived, Doerre said, he saw the three suspects flee in multiple directions. Fuller, Crichlow and Gore were eventually apprehended by police, who also discovered two handguns the suspects allegedly discarded. As the investigation began to unfold and interviews were conducted with the suspects and the victims, investigators learned that the three suspects in custody were not the only ones involved in the robbery. Doerre explained that at least “six additional suspects” have been identified and additional aggravated robbery charges are expected to be filed in the future. It is believed that at least some of the attendants of the resident’s party had contacted the three initial suspects and coordinated the robbery. “How did they pick that complex? How did they pick that apartment?” Doerre said. “Part of the people who were actually in the apartment who were friends of the victim set her up.” As of press time last week, no other arrests had been made in the case and Tomball Police are asking the public’s assistance in locating any other suspects involved. Fuller, Crichlow and Gore were each charged with four counts of aggravated robbery and were being held in the Harris County Jail on bonds of $120,000. Anyone with more information about the case is asked to call Det. Albert Chambers at 281-290-1390.
