Tomball man charged with possessing child porn |
|
Jonathan Delgado, 35, of Tomball, was arrested and charged with three counts of possession of child pornography. Delgado was charged after an online sting conducted by deputies of the Harris County Pct. 4 Constables Office.
According to court documents, in July, Sgt. Gary Spurger was conducting, “a proactive online investigation into the trafficking of child pornography.” Spurger, allegedly, came across a computer using an internet address later identified as Delgado’s. Delgado was, “actively advertising child pornographic picture and video files for sharing,” according to court documents.
After the initial investigation, Investigator Nassar Foty secured a search warrant for Delgado’s residence in in Tomball. According to court records, investigators found a laptop computer in Delgado’s locked bedroom which contained dozens of pornographic images involving children.
Members of the Houston Metro Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force claim they found images of children being sexually assaulted and exploited, while on the scene. A further search of the laptop was conducted at Pct. 4 Headquarters.
“(Spurger) conducted a full scan and approximately 80 images and videos were found (on the recovered laptop),” Foty wrote.
Delgado was bailed out on $60,000 bond on Aug. 10. His arraignment is set for Aug. 31.
