Around 9:20 p.m. the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) was called to Heritage Point subdivision on Cloverleaf Drive in Magnolia, where they met with a 35-year-old male pizza deliveryman who had allegedly been robbed at gunpoint. MCSO deputies learned that as the deliveryman was leaving the subdivision, a white car blocked the roadway and a male suspect reportedly got out of the car with a pistol in hand and demanded the deliveryman’s money. The suspect fired one shot into the air, had the deliveryman remove his clothing, then returned to his car and sped away with a small amount of cash and personal property belonging to the deliveryman. The victim was not injured. The victim reported seeing a female accomplice inside the suspect’s vehicle. He also told deputies that the suspect wore a blue bandana and sunglasses on his face. Around 11 p.m. MCSO was called to a residence on Ledge Stone Place near Branch Crossing in the Woodlands, where a similar robbery had allegedly just occurred. The 21-year-old male victim told deputies that a white vehicle had reportedly followed him to his home. When he got out of his car, a man got out of the white car with a gun in his hand. He allegedly approached the victim and demanded money. According to the victim, the suspect was wearing a blue bandana on his face. After getting the victim’s money, he reportedly fired one shot into the air then got into the white car and fled. He was not injured. The victim saw that a female was in the car with the suspect. In addition, MCSO reported that in both robberies there were passengers inside both victims’ vehicles that were not robbed or injured. An attempt to locate the vehicle was aired throughout Montgomery County. Having heard the information, all patrol vehicles were on alert for the white car. Around 1 a.m. on Jan. 12, officers with the Magnolia Police Department (MPD) stopped a vehicle on FM 1488 and Goodson Road that matched the description of the vehicle used during the two robberies. According to MPD, a handgun, blue bandana and personal property from the victims was found inside the vehicle. The driver was identified as William Mason, 20, of Hockley. His accomplice was identified as Tiffaney Steverson, 24, of Hockley. MPD arrested both suspects and released them to MCSO. Both were charged with two counts of Aggravated Robbery and are being held at the Montgomery County Jail. Mason is being held without bond and Steverson has a $100,000 bond.
