No special treatment going in Magnolia. Isn't that what the citizenry is suppose to believe?

Cousins????? Well, this is what we were suspecting all along. "Like I indicated, I really need to talk to you privately sometime soon about things going on around here." Looks like Kelley and "Cuz" are plotting to make a killing off the 4A Park and Downtown Projects.
Kelley didn't realize Burditt was even a "kin folk" Give us a Break!!!

E-mail from Kelley to Standley just confirms that Magnolia Ridge was getting "special treatment." How many of our citizens would get so many months to pay their water bill?

Oath of Office, Ethical, what is going on at City Hall? Last week we seen some emails from our leaders and now this week, Unethical? Several months ago July 13 09 the City Marshall made claim that court funds were being misused. Now the email says on June 11th 09 the Mayor sends out an email and wants a meeting with the Judge, City Attorney, Kelley and Standley to discuss the court funds.

When was the money borrowed, what was it borrowed for and by whom and who OK it, THIS WAS NOT ON THE AGENDA, why not?

June 1st 09 to Kelley, Drake, Standley reference MAGNOLIA RIDGE. Please let me know if there is any outstanding issues that would require us to continue holding the building permit. Response from KELLEY June 1st 09 “I do not. That’s great. Thank you. Beverly please bring me a current report on MAGNOLIA RIDGE UNPAID BILLS.

On June 1st Kelley received a report but yet Bramllet over a month later on July 15th 09 writes that MAGNOLIA RIDGE has gone seven (7) months without paying their water bill. Mr. Bramllet how did you find out about this, and why would you not put it on the AGENDA? Who are you protecting? Do you know who gave the order to allow the nonpayment and why, if you do please let us all know, we may not want to vote for them come next election. If it was an administrative decision then the council needs to address this, but we want to know.

Kelley to Burditt July 6th 09 Subject 4th. Cuz Thanks for coming out Saturday. It meant a lot to me that you all showed up.
Like I indicated, I really need to talk to you privately Sometime soon (Kana where is your investigation) about things going on around here. Kelley didn’t say Mayor or Council I need to really talk to you it was CUZ (Burditt), what do you think Kana?

I hope I am, along with any other citizen in Magnolia be afforded the same courtesy that MAGNOLIA RIDGE has received if I am not able to pay my water bill. How many of us were cut off in the last seven (7) months? What were the COURT FUNDS used for and what about the investigation that Kana said he was going to conduct in reference to Kelley and his relationship with Burditt? Hello does anyone care?

I've lived in the Magnolia area for 33 years. Each week I can't wait to read the paper to see what else is going on in our small town that shouldn't be. But does this really surprise you? It's every where now. Many of these people on the boards have been the same people for way too long. We need a mayor, council people that really want to make a difference. No more having your relative bid and get the city jobs. That needs to stop. No more paying people to help you write articles for the paper. Get a high school student who's looking to be journalist as a career to help. Pay them. What is happening is Magnolia is a shame. At the same time its a shame that a name is what gets you voted into office. Next time elections come up, pick someone that is a parent that works hard for their money and knows how to budge their check books. You vote for that person, and thats how you will get change in Magnolia.

I know this comment is late in being posted but, what do the people of Magnolia expect? City Council and the Mayor get paid a council stipend. That's basically it. And any new candidates have to worry about having their personal lives drug through the mud just because they see a chance to help a city they live in and care about.

Who's personal lives have been drug through the mud in these emails? City business is open for the public so that the public can decide if these elected officials are REALLY making honorable decisions for the city or if change needs to happen at election time.
