| Checking Magnolia's E-mails - Oct. 5, 2009 |
|
The following are copies of e-mails obtained by the Tribune from an open records request submitted to the City of Magnolia. The e-mails include messages sent and received by City Administrator Ryan Kelley, Mayor Jimmy Thornton, City Secretary Debra Brent and City Councilwoman Patsy Williams. Each week the Tribune will publish e-mails received in the request. City e-mails and records are available to the public through the Texas Public Information Act. To view more e-mails, visit tribunenews.com. FROM: Debra Brent TO: Leonard Schneider DATE: Aug. 4, 2009 SUBJECT: Contract Leonard, Jonny W. (Williams) wants Daniels Landscaping to mow areas for the park and downtown project. I suggested that if 4A is going to pay for this there should be some kind of contract. He asked that I ask you to draw up something generic we can use for this and other things that come up. Thanks, Debra Brent City Secretary FROM: City Administrator (City of Rollingwood) TO: Ryan C. Kelley DATE: Aug. 3, 2009 SUBJECT: Open Records Request Ryan, The Magnolia/Tomball Tribune made an open records request for the minutes of every meeting of the Council during your employment here. 732 pages. Thought you would want to know. Vicky Rudy City Administrator City of Rollingwood FROM: Ryan C. Kelley TO: Leonard Schneider DATE: Aug. 3, 2009 SUBJECT: FW: open records request FYI. Any comments? Ryan C. Kelley City Administrator FROM: Debra Brent TO: Patsy Williams, Jimmy Thornton, Ryan Kelley DATE: Aug. 4, 2009 SUBJECT: PIR Request Mayor and Ms. Williams, I am still holding the PIR for the Tribune on your emails. I have Ryan’s and the ones off the Mayor’s computer here, but in Ryan’s e-mails it shows emails to Patsy and you Mayor on your apex account. Please provide me with any emails that address city business or city employees. If the amount of the request is more than $40.00 I have to create an invoice and send to the requestor, which gives them the opportunity to decide if they want the information enough to pay for it. So far the amount is up to $207.00 and this does not count the hour I will charge for Ryan, or any emails I receive from your computers. Please furnish me with this information as soon as possible as the deadline is Thursday and I have to submit an invoice to the requestor by tomorrow or run the risk of non compliance, at which time I would guess they will contact the Attorney General’s office to add on more straw to the stack, but that is a stack we do not want to fall into, so please furnish with me the information. Thank you. Debra Brent City Secretary FROM: Patsy Williams TO: Debra Brent DATE: Aug. 5, 2009 SUBJECT: e mails Deb, I have forwarded to you the e mails during the period requested. I believe there are 4 or 5. Thank you.
