| Tomball Chamber hosts congressman for health care discussion |
|
Congressman Michael McCaul met with community leaders and business representatives at a meeting hosted by the Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce Government and Legislative Affairs Committee March 29. McCaul said small business is most concerned about future growth due to costs the new health care act will impose. “This bill punishes the successful in our country who are creating jobs,” McCaul said. “And it hurts the doctors and medical professionals because of the lower mandated Medicare and Medicaid reimbursements.” McCaul was joined by Tomball Regional Medical Center President/CEO Lynn LeBouef, GTACC Chairman Leo Corley, Tomball ISD CFO Jim Ross, GTACC Government and Legislative Affairs Committee Chairman Stephen Garceau, Rick Pritchett and GTACC President Bruce Hillegeist.
