Waller ISD announces 2010 Summer Food Program

Waller ISD announced last week the sponsorship of the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), offered by the Texas Department of Human Services. SFSP provides nutritious meals to children in Texas during the summer when schools are generally closed and the National School Lunch and Breakfast Program is not in operation.

Any child from 1 – 18 years of age is eligible to receive breakfast and lunch at no cost.  Persons 19 and above who have been determined to be mentally or physically disabled by a state or local agency may also be served a meal. The Summer Food Service Program will be located at I.T. Holleman Elementary and Waller High School cafeterias June 7-June 30.

Both schools will be open Monday through Friday. Breakfast is served from 7 to 8 a.m. and lunch is served from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
