| WISD Rodeo Art winners recognized |
The Waller ISD’s Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Art winners and their art teachers were recognized at an April School Board Meeting. Pictured (from left to right), is Junior High Division Winner Rayden Summers, Waller Junior High eighth grader, winning Best of Show “untitled;” Waller Junior High eighth grader Samantha McLeod, Gold Medal winner for “Joy Ride.” In the Elementary Division, Fields Store Elementary fourth grader Raul Calixto won Best of Show for “The Cowboy.” Calixto is holding Holleman Elementary Camden Mach’s (not pictured) Gold Medal art winner,“Happy Cowgirl.” In the High School Division, Best of Show winner was “The River,” by senior Carley Newkirk and Waller High School 11th grade Gold Medal winner Jennifer Mendez with “My First Ride.”
