On May 18 the Tomball Business & Professional Women’s Organization will host Charlotte Stallings, Founder and President of Getting Smart! LLC, to speak at its annual membership meeting. Stallings provides talks on the importance of getting a handle on the money side of either one’s personal or business life and how to make better money decisions.

As a former Vice President of Investment Strategies of Ameriprise Financial, as well as its National Spokesperson on Women and Investing Issues, Stallings developed a national initiative to provide investment and financial planning advice geared specifically to women. Her experience through the years at powerhouse corporations such as US Banks, Xeros and more than 20 years at American Express have afforded her expertise in the nuts and bolts of business sales, marketing and leadership. She has made appearances on CNN and other national and regional media outlets.

Business women from the area are invited to attend the May meeting as a guest of the club. Copies of Charlotte’s book, “I Wish Someone Had Told Me: Financial Lessons Learned The Hard Way,” will be available for purchase. The meeting will be held at Amegy Bank in Tomball and begins at 11:30 a.m.
