TISD honors bilingual spelling bee champ

Northpointe Intermediate fifth grader Emily Boyrie recently won Tomball ISD’s Fourth Annual District Bilingual Spelling Bee. Curriculum and Instruction Bilingual Director Carol Rangel (right) presented Boyrie the championship trophy last week. In order take the top spot, Boyrie had to spell each word in Spanish and English. She won the bilingual bee in five rounds. The winning word was “gymnasium.”
