‘Celebrity Waiter’ event to benefit fallen soldier memorial

With hopes of raising money for the city’s next proposed monument, a few Tomball community leaders are lending their status and their table-waiting abilities to a fundraiser.

Tomball Mayor Gretchen Fagan, Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce President Bruce Hillegeist and Tomball Police Chief Rob Hauck will serve as “celebrity waiters” Aug. 17 at Trattoria Di Alba, located at 209 Commerce Street.

All monies generated by Fagan, Hillegeist and Hauck through tips will be donated to a proposed memorial for fallen soldiers from Tomball.
