Patriotic ceremony to mark LSC-Tomball’s Veterans Day celebration

lsc veterans day Lone Star College-Tomball (LSC-Tomball) will host its second annual Veterans Day Celebration on Tuesday, Nov. 9 at 12:30 p.m. in the Commons of the Student Center. The public is invited to this commemorative event, especially veterans and family members of deceased veterans.

 

“It is important to honor the brave men and women who have answered the call of duty and protected our freedoms,” LSC-Tomball President Dr. Susan Karr said. “We owe these heroes from every generation a debt of gratitude that can never be fully repaid.”

The brief program will include the Presentation of Colors by the Tomball High School Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps followed by the Presentation of the Wreath and Moment of Silence by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2427.

 

Military medals, such as the Congressional Medal of Honor and Purple Heart, will also be displayed in the Commons. After the ceremony, guests can enjoy refreshments and listen to a vocal performance, “I Remember You,” by Texas country artist Cindy Nash.
