Abandoned Animal Rescue Pet of the Week |
|
Sally is a 5-year-old female Golden Retriever mix who had been seen for a few days wandering around HEB in Cypress. She was skin and bones and starving. There was a boy who was nice to her and she followed him home on his bike. The boy’s family could not keep her, so she ended up at Abandoned Animal Rescue. X-rays showed she had two golf ball-sized bladder stones, as well as a dislocated hip. Sally could not have surgery at the time because she was so emaciated, anemic and had an infection. After months of care by AAR volunteers, Sally is ready to find her home. She is great with everyone, including kids, dogs and cats. She is house trained and knows how to use a doggie door. She still has a dislocated hip, but is not in any pain and walks fine. Surgery is not needed. Sally weighs about 40 pounds and it would be best for her to be on a special diet to stay thin because of her leg. For more information about Sally, call Abandoned Animal Rescue at 281-290-0121, visit aartomball.org or e-mail
