| Tomball Chamber goes ‘Under the Big Top’ for annual ball |

Step right up to the swirl of colorful fun and excitement when the Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce presents its annual Chairman’s Ball, “Under the Big Top,” on Friday, Jan. 21, 2011, at Shirley Acres, 217 Woerner Rd. Tables are now available for the Chairman’s Ball, which begins with the Citizen of the Year reception at 6 p.m. Holly Cook of Texas Citizens Bank, who is chairing this year’s annual gala, said the Citizen of the Year reception is just the beginning of a great event. “Each year the Chamber notifies its Citizen of the Year in December,” she said. “But the true climax of this prestigious award comes with the presentation at the Chairman’s Ball. This and the inaugural address of the incoming chairman of the board are true highlights of the evening.” Following the reception, from 7 to 11 p.m., dinner and entertainment will extend into the evening. Attire is circus costume or business casual. Tickets are $75 each and sponsor tables for eight range from $1,110 to $2,500. Deadline for reservations is Friday, Jan. 14.
