Magnolia Hometown Christmas and Parade

sos float Magnolia held its annual Hometown Christmas Dec. 10, 11 and 12. A tree lighting ceremony kicked off the festivities on Dec 10, followed by the Magnolia Area Chamber of Commerce’s holiday parade on Dec. 11. Among those that were named best parade entries were Believer’s Fellowship for congregation float, State Farm for commercial float, Magnolia Elementary for non-commercial float, Magnolia West High School Band for marching unit, Montgomery County Trail Riders for mounted unit and Country Tyme Awards for best vehicle. Society of Samaritans (pictured) was also among the many floats that participated in the parade. Other events of Hometown Christmas included a Chili Cook-Off and about 40 vendors that participated in the event.
