Salem Lutheran Church provides for Houston homeless

salem Members of the junior and senior High School Student Ministry of Salem Lutheran Church recently traveled to downtown Houston to give the homeless food, water, clothing and blankets. Students collected donations from church members over the last six weeks to distribute in their annual Houston Homeless service project. Students distributed more than 150 bags of food, 65 bags of clothing, 32 blankets and 300 bottles of water. Student ministries of Salem Lutheran Church have devoted time and energy to helping the homeless over the last four years.  Students have been interacting directly with homeless people and organizations, such as, Streetscape Ministries of Galveston and Houston homeless ministries.  For more information on Salem Student Ministry, visit defytheworld.org or salem4u.com.
