MWHS Theater to present ‘The Boyfriend’

The Fine Arts Department of Magnolia West High School will present its annual winter production, “The Boyfriend,” Jan. 21 at 7 p.m. and Jan. 22 at 2 and 7 p.m. in the Magnolia West High School Auditorium. The show is directed by Magnolia West Theater Arts director Kim Bryant, with vocal direction by Sylvia Garza, orchestral direction by Pat Crofton, technical direction by Don Hampton and choreography by Hilary Bryant. The show is a spoof of the 1920s musical comedies that follow a girl who yearns to have a boyfriend along with everyone else but runs into all sorts of twists and turns along the way. The production features students from the theatre, choir, band, dance and broadcast departments. Ticket prices are $15 for adults, $10 for students and $5 for 10 and under.
