LSC workshop to help students find money for college

To help students find money for college, Lone Star College-Tomball (LSC-Tomball) will host a financial aid workshop on Wednesday, Feb. 2 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. in rooms E-255 and E-258, both located in the East Hall.

At this free event, financial aid experts will help all individuals complete the 2011-12 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. Used by all colleges in the United States, this form determines eligibility for federal, state and/or college aid.

Attendees should bring a 2010 household tax return or W-2 form(s) to complete the FAFSA form. FAFSA applications that are submitted early in the year are more likely to be funded. Spanish speakers are encouraged to attend this workshop as bilingual staff will be available to explain and assist them with the financial aid process.

In addition to FAFSA, financial aid experts will also provide information on scholarships and other funding sources for college-bound students.

LSC-Tomball is located at 30555 Tomball Parkway, at the intersection of SH 249 and Zion Road. For more information on the FAFSA Workshop, call 281-357-3782 or e-mail This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
