Families using Equine Assisted Learning to assess themselves

social skills Families from Magnolia and surrounding areas experienced different ways of learning about themselves and parenting through a social skills exercise. The families used horses in an equine assisted learning seminar. The horses reflected the feelings of the teenagers and their parents, according to Janet Nicholas and Erin Webb who operate the classes. Nicholas and Webb said horses are looking for leaders so they challenge people. Parents wanting to understand their children and children who suffer from social anxiety, depression, autism and attention deficit disorder are able to learn from the horses, Webb said.
