A Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (HLSR) committee member presented Tomball High School FFA students (from left) sophomores Ailise Briody and Tyler Brinkley and senior Madison Adams with scholarships and plaques for being named finalists in the Second Annual Ranching and Wildlife Heritage Expo. During the expo, FFA and 4-H students from across the state researched Texas wildlife species and issues related to habitat preservation. The students prepared a power point presentation on their assigned topic and presented it to the Ranching and Wildlife Heritage Committee and other wildlife industry professionals. The committee members questioned the students for five minutes about their presentation. The finalists received HLSR scholarships. Briody was awarded a $1,000 scholarship, Brinkley a $1,500 scholarship and Adams a $500 scholarship.
