At the District 17-4A girls’ basketball meeting, the coaches met to select the athletes to receive district honors. The Lady Bulldogs received several honors from the district.

Junior Jessica Coleman received First Team All-District honors. Senior Opal Jackson and sophomore Briana Knowles were selected for Second Team All-District. Juniors Lydia Brooks and Kayla Bell were selected for Honorable Mention. Receiving Academic All-District honors were juniors Jessica Coleman, Kaylon White and Brittany Houle, sophomores Briana Knowles and Mia Houle and freshman Abby Costea.

The Lady Bulldogs battled injuries throughout the season and went 5-9 in district play, finishing in sixth place.

“All the injuries this year prevented us from developing a consistent team. To fill in the gaps, we had to pull up JV and or freshman players and we were unable to find a rhythm. Things didn’t pan out like we had hoped they would, but I feel confident that next year will be better,”

Coach Schila Clough said.
