CYT’s ‘Jungle Book’ hits TIS stage

Christian Youth Theater (CYT) of Tomball/Cypress presents its first production of “The Jungle Book “at the Tomball Intermediate School auditorium. Show times are Friday, April 15 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, April 16 at 9:30 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. To purchase tickets, go to cythouston.org.

CYT’s original production of “The Jungle Book” is a tale of adventure based on Rudyard Kipling’s exotic tale. The story follows a young boy named Mowgli who was raised in the jungles of India by a pack of wolves. There he learns the laws of the jungle from his good friends, Baloo, the bear and Bagheera, the black panther. Throughout his adventures, he meets characters of all shapes and sizes. Exciting songs, jungle rhythms and intriguing characters make the jungle come alive in a way like never before.

CYT is an after-school theater arts education program for children ages 4-18. Classes are taught by experienced, working theater arts professionals. Enrolled students have the opportunity to work behind the scenes, or audition and perform on stage in a Broadway-style musical performed for the community.

CYT is dedicated to developing character in children and adults through training in the arts and by producing wholesome family entertainment, all of which reflect Judeo-Christian values.
