Tomball celebrates National Prayer Day

The City of Tomball celebrated the 2011 National Day of Prayer May 5 with a brief prayer ceremony at the Tomball Depot gazebo. About 100 people were in attendance where local pastors lead a series of prayers and renditions of “Amazing Grace” and “God Bless America.” Tomball Mayor Gretchen Fagan formally recognized the event with a proclamation. This year’s National Day of Prayer theme was “A Mighty Fortress is Our God.” Pictured, pastor Bob Webb (at podium) leads a prayer at the Tomball Depot gazebo.
