MISD hosts Fishing Buddies |
|
Magnolia ISD hosted its seventh annual Fishing Buddies at the Magnolia High School Ag pond. This year MISD expanded the event to include visits from the Life Skills students of all four secondary school campuses in the district: Magnolia High School, Magnolia West High School, Magnolia Junior High and Bear Branch Junior High. Fishing Buddies is comprised of nearly 100 student volunteers who dedicate an entire school day to serving the Life Skills students by helping them find enjoyment and success in the simple pleasures of fishing. The students are paired up with “Buddies” who help them set their lines, cast their rods and reel in their catches. Pictured (left to right) are Kaitlin Matula, Madison Medeiros, John Mayorga and Sam Hock.
