Law Enforcement Torch Run aids Special Olympics

torch run On May 25 the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run kicked off its final leg in Houston and made its way through Tomball, traveling down Main Street. The Torch Run is a running event in which law enforcement officers and athletes run the “Flame of Hope” to the Opening Ceremonies of the 2011 Special Olympics Summer Games, held last weekend in Arlington. Pictured, members of the Tomball Police Department, including Chief Rob Hauck, join other runners as the flame travels along Main Street in Tomball. The run also ventured through Navasota, Bryan/College Station, Brenham, Conroe and Huntsville on its way to Arlington. Since its inception, the Torch Run has contributed more than $11 million to Special Olympics.
