Waller raises $100,000 in Relay for Life |
|
Residents of Waller County recently helped make a giant step toward a cure for cancer when they took part in the American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Waller. More than 47 teams and 2,500 people came together during this year’s relay to raise in excess of $100,000. Money raised during Relay for Life helps fund the American Cancer Society’s mission of eliminating cancer by helping people stay well, helping people get well, by finding cures and by fighting back. The Society is the largest nonprofit supporter of new cancer research and the largest voluntary health organization fighting cancer in the country and around the world.
