Abandoned Animal Rescue Pet of the Week

hardy Hardy is a 3-month-old male Labrador mix who was found off the side of the road at SH 249 and Hardin Store Road. You would not know by looking at him now that he was on death’s door when he was brought into Abandoned Animal Rescue at 6 weeks of age. He was lethargic, anemic, full of fleas and did not have the strength to get up and walk for more than a week. He still has scars but with a lot of patience and care, he will be 100 percent. Hardy is funny, attentive, on the mellow side, likes to give kisses and be held. He is crate-trained and will bark when he needs to go. If you take him out through the same door every time he knows to go to the door and to be let out. He likes to play in the water sprinkler, explore in the flower beds and is good with other dogs. Hardy is ready to give his heart to a responsible and loving family who will treat him like part of the family.
