MPD recognizes officer for efforts in Take the Wheel

Magnolia Police Officer Elias Diaz received a certificate of appreciation for his DWI arrest efforts made during the July 1-4 Take the Wheel Program, sponsored by Mothers Against Drunk Driving. Sgt. Jose Lopez said that during that weekend Magnolia Police Department had 18 criminal arrests, 104 traffic violations, 74 citations, 11 towed vehicles and eight DWI arrests. Diaz had the most DWI arrests during that weekend. Pictured (from left to right) are Chief Domingo Ibarra, Diaz and Mayor Todd Kana.
