AAR Pet of the Week |
|
Buster is a 1-year-old male Golden Retriever mix who was found living in a culvert in High Meadow Ranch in Magnolia. After feeding him and gaining his trust it took about a month to rescue him. He then lived in a foster home for about a month until there was room at the shelter. With some love and care, he now trusts people and loves attention. Buster was doing well in obedience classes at PetSmart, but had to stop attending because his foster mom hurt her foot. So, he does know a limited amount of commands and loves petting, belly rubs and some scratching on his chest when he sits pretty. He does have a lot of energy and likes to play so he needs a dog his own size or bigger who will play with him. No small kids because he might knock them down and no small dogs or cats. He weighs about 55 pounds and is crate trained. He is attentive, quick learner and needs a family who is knowledgeable in basic dog training, so he can pick back up what he learned in obedience class. For more information about Buster, call Abandoned Animal Rescue at 281-290-0121, or email aarescue03@yahoo. For more information about AAR, visit www.aartomball.org.
