AAR Pet of the Week

aar Artemis is a 2-year-old black and white domestic short hair female. She was found in Tomball in front of a business on a busy road hiding under the driveway with her 2 babies. She was scared, hungry and happy to see friendly faces. They pulled her out and noticed she had babies which they had to crawl into the culvert to get them out. Artemis took really good care of her babies; they were clean, healthy and well fed.  Though she was not as lucky, she was exhausted and in bad shape. AAR took her to the vet where she was found to have two skin infections, ear mites and an ear infection and digestive issues because of the awful things she had to eat to feed her kittens. After a lot of care from the quarantine room, volunteers and a lot of sleeping, Artemis, the great hunter and protector, has fully recovered.  Though you may notice, due to a prior injury, she only has half of an ear left, but other than that she is perfect. Artemis is a sweet, gentle, laid back, affectionate lady who just wants a loving family where she can feel safe and secure. She is great with everyone she meets and would make someone very happy. For more information about Artemis, call Abandoned Animal Rescue at 281-290-0121, or email aarescue03@yahoo.
