SOS honors Copen at Volunteer Appreciation Dinner

The Society of Samaritans (SOS) held its Volunteer Appreciation Dinner Aug. 12. President Scot Wall and acting Director Mildred Ashworth recognized Dorothy Copen as Volunteer of the Year. Copen, 94, of Magnolia has been volunteering with SOS for more than 15 years. Wall also recognized the executive board, board of member organizations, office volunteers, special projects volunteers and volunteers at the clothing donation center on Little Twig.
