Tomball celebrates opening of widened FM 2978

Members of the Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce, along with Texas Department of Transportation officials, Tomball Mayor Gretchen Fagan and state Representatives Allen Fletcher and Debbie Riddle, were all on hand Aug. 24 to celebrate the opening of an overpass on FM 2978. The stretch of road is now four-lanes with a center turn lane from the Harris-Montgomery county line to FM 2920. The recently completed project cost around $18.5 million and began in October of 2009.
