AAR Pet of the Week |
|
Chevron is a 12-year-old male feline. He was caught in a trap at a Chevron gas station on FM 1488 last June. He was in dire straits and badly needed medical attention. He was malnourished and infested with fleas. Chevron had a badly infected abscess on the side of his face and needed antibiotic treatments. He had to have some teeth pulled and he also has feline leukemia, feline AIDS and heartworms. AAR does not have the facility to house cats with these diseases so he is in a foster home at this time. He has no symptoms, but will need a home without other cats or with cats that have feline AIDS and feline leukemia. He is very affectionate toward his foster mother, likes to be held, scratched and he now purrs quite a bit, but runs and hides when other people are around. He hisses but has not bitten anyone and he is good with dogs. Chevron needs to find a permanent home, so his foster mother can foster other cats that are in need. If you are interested in Chevron, call Angie at 832-203-3637, Abandoned Animal Rescue at 281-290-0121 or email aarescue03@yahoo. For more information about AAR, visit www.aartomball.org.
