Magnolia Elementary celebrates Veterans Day

Magnolia Elementary School (MES) celebrated Veterans Day Nov. 11 with an assembly honoring local veterans. Principal Jennifer Ward welcomed local veterans, as most in attendance were relatives of MES students. Students were dressed in each military branch outfits as veterans stood to be honored. The students read essays and poetry about veterans and then created a corridor of American flags for veterans to walk through. Each veteran was given an opportunity to speak to MES students about their experience serving the U.S.
