MHS travels to Willis for UIL competition

cte students UIL Academics competed in their first invitational meet at Seven Lakes High School Jan. 14. Magnolia High School was represented by nearly 50 students, who competed in many different academic events. Career Technology Education students had success in computer applications and accounting. Placing in computer applications were Jireh Groenow in fourth place, Fabian Leal in eighth place and Emily Burch in ninth place. Placing in accounting were Bethany Mandrell (left) in first place, Michaela Miller (right) in ninth place. The accounting team, Mandrell, Miller and Christina Crockett (center) placed second.
