Astros pitcher Sampson visits Willow Wood Junior High

Willow Wood Junior High School eighth grade student Britley Smithson (right) dons a baseball hat that Houston Astros Pitcher Chris Sampson (left) gave her for winning the Astros Fielder’s Choice essay contest. Smithson’s essay focused on responding to difficult choices in life. Sampson also gave Smithson his autograph and he talked to the student body about the importance of making good choices. Astros announcer Dave Raymond (center) was the emcee for the event.
