LSC-Tomball Academy offers Texas history lecture series

Lone Star College-Tomball Academy for Lifelong Learning will offer a new series of lectures on Texas History this fall. Topics include The Flags of Texas presentation, General Sam Houston, James Bowie and the famous Bowie knife, the Yellow Rose of Texas and many more. Lectures are offered on Wednesdays, Sept. 16 through Oct. 21 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. The series will conclude with a trip to the San Jacinto Battlefield and Monument on Oct. 28.  For more information, contact the Continuing Education department of Lone Star College Tomball at 281-357-3676, at www.lonestar.edu/all-tomball, or by e-mailing This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
