TVFD donates $11,000 to MDA during ‘Fill the Boot’ campaign

Tomball Volunteer Fire Department members raised more than $11,400 for “Jerry’s Kids” and presented a check for $11,427 to the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) Telethon on Sept. 7.  The volunteer firefighters of the Department spent several weekends standing on Tomball area street corners “filling the boot” for the benefit of the patients afflicted by any one of the several muscular diseases supported by MDA.

The Tomball Volunteer Fire Department members wish to extend their deepest appreciation to the generosity of our community in making this year’s Fill the Boot campaign the most successful ever. The amount collected by the members of the Department sets a high bar for next year’s efforts.
