Tomball HS drama to present ‘Footloose’ musical

footloose Tomball High School students (from left) Audrey Wilson, Katie Oliver, Blake Jackson and Robert Lewis rehearse a scene from the musical “Footloose.” The story of “Footloose” focuses on Ren McCormack, a high school student forced to move to a small town only to discover that his favorite pastime, dancing, has been banned by the community. It does not take Ren long to figure out that the local reverend’s daughter also opposes the ban on dancing and together they work to get it overturned. They appeal to the town by demonstrating the passion and vitality of dance. This will be a musical performance filled with singing and dancing that the whole family can enjoy. Performances of “Footloose” will be held at the Tomball High School Auditorium, 30330 Quinn Rd., on Nov. 12-14 and Nov. 16 at 7:30 p.m. There will be a matinee performance on Nov. 14 at 3 p.m. Tickets may be purchased online at tomballstage.org.
