Annual LSC-Tomball celebration to feature snow, Santa

Once again, Lone Star College-Tomball will ring in the holiday season with a Winter Wonderland of activities, including snow. The community is invited to this holiday celebration on Dec. 1 to enjoy musical entertainment, games for children, refreshments and pictures with Santa.

Pictures with Santa will be from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Black Box Theater in the East Building for $5 each. Proceeds benefit the Lone Star College-Tomball Scholarship Fund. Also, Santa’s elves will be collecting presents for Santa’s special deliveries. Guests are invited to bring donations of unwrapped personal items and toiletries for Santa’s visits to area senior citizen’s facilities and/or wrapped labeled toys for his visits to children in local hospitals.

Children’s activities get under way at 5:30 p.m. and include a moonwalk, train ride, hay ride and plenty of games hosted by the LSC-Tomball students. Two playgrounds of snow will be located near the Beckendorf Conference Center. The snow playgrounds open at 6 p.m. and close at 8 p.m.

Entertainment starts at 6 p.m. in the Beckendorf Conference Center and features the Lyon Elementary choir, the LSC-Tomball employee chorus and the LSC-Tomball College jazz band choir.

Cookies, punch and coffee will be served throughout the evening in the Beckendorf Conference Center beginning at 6 p.m.

There is no admission and all children’s games and activities are free. For information, call 281-351-3300 or 281-357-3608. For more information about LSC-Tomball and any of its programs, visit the Web site at Lone Star.edu/tomball.
