Tomball FD graduates three members from Academy

fire The Tomball Volunteer Fire Department announced last week the graduation of three of its members from the Northwest Fire Chief’s Association Cadet Academy. Joshua Boyd, Randy Marquez and Hector Rios completed the 210 hours of training held at the Cy-Fair Volunteer Fire Department Training Center located at the Lone Star College – Cy-Fair Campus on Dec. 5. The completion of the training earns each member a Basic Firefighter Certification from the State Firemen’s and Fire Marshal’s Association. The three members will advance in rank from cadet firefighters to probationary firefighters. This promotion signifies that they are now qualified as structural firefighters and are able to operate inside of burning buildings.
