Census takers are needed to update address lists and conduct interviews with community residents. Most positions require a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle. Public transportation may be authorized in certain areas. All census takers must be able to speak English, but bilingual skills in English and other languages will also be needed. Positions available include Census takers, crew leaders, crew leader assistants, recruiting assistants and Census clerks. Census employees get paid weekly, can work flexible hours, receive paid training and receive reimbursement for authorized mileage and other work-related expenses.
