| City of Tomball to hold week-long clean-up |
|
The City of Tomball will hold a spring clean-up March 8-13 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day. The clean-up offers the citizens of Tomball the opportunity to dispose of large, hard-to-handle items that cannot be collected under the normal garbage service. The event is open only to residents of the City of Tomball (must have a city utility bill as proof of residency). Roll off trash bins will be available at the city landfill, located .4 miles north of E. Hufsmith on Rudolph Road. Among the items accepted will be lumber, rugs/carpets, clothing, box springs and mattresses, bricks (small amount), washing machines and dryers, water heaters, furniture, gutter material, cardboard boxes, lawn mowers (oil and gas removed) and dishwashers. Among the items that will not be accepted include tree trimmings, tires, structural steel, pool chemicals, batteries, raw meats and food items, televisions, computers, refrigerators, AC units and appliances with freon or fluids.
