| Tomball Chamber to host council candidate forum |

The Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce’s Government and Legislative Affairs Committee will host a Candidate Forum for the public on Thursday, April 8, from 6 to 8 p.m. The forum, which will feature candidates seeking election and re-election to the Tomball City Council, along with candidates for mayor of Tomball, will be in the teaching theater of Lone Star College-Tomball at 30555 Tomball Parkway. “We hope Tomball voters and Chamber members will take time to come and hear from the candidates at this informative event,” GTACC Government and Legislative Affairs Committee Chairman Stephen Garceau said. The purpose of the forum is to tell voters of the issues, ideas and opinions of each individual candidate with fairness and to encourage voter participation. Forum candidate questions will be selected from questions submitted by audience participants, prior to the start of the Forum. Audience participants are encouraged to arrive early, beginning at 5:30 p.m. to submit questions. Election Day for the city’s two open seats, including the mayor and Council Position 3, an at-large seat, will be on Saturday, May 8, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at City Hall, located at 401 Market St. Early voting begins on April 26 and extends through May 4. Early voting by personal appearance will be available each weekday at City Hall.
